Member owned since 1971! The Harvest Coop is on a mission to provide healthy, affordable food to the community in which it's embedded. Anyone can become a member and anyone (including non-members) can shop. They sell organic, bulk, and conventional grocceries at competetive prices in a friendly atmosphere. They also offer a small cafe (and community bulletin board) that opens onto Mass Ave, as well as some pre-made dishes and deli food.
The smallest of the three Whole Foods Market in Boston. It tries to stock a wide variety of products that are offered in bigger locations such as Cambridgeport, but its space limits what it can offer. For instance, the scale of the salad bar is small, and the pastry is not served in a counter. Nonetheless, the selection is adequate for any food-lover. However, the use of shopping cart is really difficult in this mini Whole Foods.
